📖 What is Mesenteric Ischemia?

Mesenteric ischemia occurs when blood flow to the intestines becomes inadequate, resulting in insufficient oxygen delivery to intestinal tissues.

Severe or prolonged ischemia can cause intestinal infarction, necrosis, perforation, sepsis, and shock.
